This home renovation project began with a comprehensive underpinning process to increase ceiling height and reclaim previously unused space—an essential step in basement renovations. Through close collaboration with the architecture team and our expert crew in general contracting, we transformed the underutilized lower level into a luxurious wellness retreat complete with a home gym, steam room, wine tasting area, and a comfortable family room.
Preserving the home’s historical character was a key focus. Original architectural features were seamlessly incorporated into the build, including the existing stone foundation, which we backlit to create a striking focal point for a custom wine display—bringing a moody, speakeasy-inspired ambiance to the space.
One of the most unique transformations involved excavating a triangular void beneath the kitchen and repurposing it into a spa-like steam room and gym—an unexpected luxury that elevates this bathroom remodel beyond the ordinary. A custom staircase, crafted with mixed materials, became a standout feature of the home, demonstrating the impact of thoughtful craftsmanship in modern home renos.
On the upper floors, we introduced a series of strategic upgrades, including a new walk-in pantry, a stylish powder room, and a functional home office—each enhancing the home’s overall comfort and livability.
